About cadastral pegs
Cadastral pegs mark boundary corners and other title survey points, so they are built to last years in the ground rather than weeks. CACP cadastral pegs are 50×50mm square hardwood, vacuum pressure treated, painted white and pointed ready to drive, in 350mm and 450mm lengths and bundles of 9. Use 350mm in firm ground and 450mm where the ground is soft, sandy or filled.

What is a cadastral peg used for?
Marking boundary corners and other cadastral (title) survey points placed by a registered surveyor, where the mark must remain findable for years.
Why are cadastral pegs treated?
Because they stay in the ground for years. Vacuum pressure treatment protects the hardwood against rot and insect attack below ground.
350mm or 450mm?
350mm in firm natural ground. 450mm in soft, sandy or filled ground where a shorter peg could be disturbed.
