Two families. Raw dumpy pegs, 38x55mm section in 150mm and 250mm lengths, square edged and consistently sized, in bags of 50 — the everyday peg for levels, formwork and setout. White cadastral pegs, 50x50mm, vacuum pressure treated, painted white and pointed, in 350mm and 450mm lengths and bundles of 9 — for title and boundary survey work where the mark has to last.
Brisbane and South East Queensland orders are delivered to site with forklift or hand unload, usually within 24 to 48 hours of confirmation. Sydney orders go as pallet lots into our Sydney depot at our cost, for depot collection or onward delivery. Pegs are made to order against a 12-week production run — send your list and we confirm your place, lead time and freight the same day.

Survey pegs buying guide
A survey peg is the short, stout cousin of the stake. Where a stake holds a line or a flag, a peg holds a point: a level, an offset, a corner, a boundary. Pegs are driven flush or near flush, so they need to take a hammer without mushrooming and hold their position in compacted ground. CACP carries two families, both FSC certified hardwood.
Dumpy pegs
Raw hardwood dumpy pegs, 38×55mm section, in 150mm and 250mm lengths, bags of 50. The everyday peg for levels, formwork, concrete setout and general marking. Square edge, raw finish so you can write on them or paint a top, consistently sized so a bag behaves the same as the last bag. The 150mm is the site standard. The 250mm is for softer or disturbed ground where a deeper drive is needed to hold a level.
Cadastral pegs
White hardwood cadastral pegs, 50×50mm square, 350mm and 450mm lengths, bundles of 9. These are the pegs used for boundary and title survey work, where the mark has to last for years rather than weeks. They are vacuum pressure treated, painted white and pointed ready to drive. Use the 350mm in firm ground and the 450mm where the ground is soft, sandy or disturbed.
Which peg for which job
- Levels and formwork on a slab: dumpy 150mm.
- Deeper setout, batters, softer ground: dumpy 250mm.
- Boundary corners, title survey, anything a registered surveyor places: cadastral 350mm or 450mm.
- Marking a point that needs to be seen from a distance: pair a peg with a red top stake beside it.
Bags, bundles and pallets
Dumpy pegs come in bags of 50, cadastral pegs in bundles of 9. Pegs are counted by cube and weight on a pallet rather than by piece, and they mix with stakes on the same pallet, so an interstate order can carry the whole job in one lift.
Lead times and delivery
Pegs are made to order against a production run every 12 weeks. Send your list and we confirm your place, lead time and freight the same day. Brisbane and South East Queensland: delivered to site, usually 24 to 48 hours from confirmation, freight priced at checkout. Sydney: pallet lots into our depot at our cost. Anywhere else: freight quoted the same day, before you commit.
