Why CACP exists
A survey stake is a civil consumable. It goes in the ground, does its job, and gets left behind. Nobody needs furniture-grade timber for that and nobody should be paying for it either.
CACP was built around a simple idea: supply a good, fit-for-purpose FSC certified hardwood stake at a price that makes sense for the volume that civil and survey work demands. Not the cheapest product on the market, not the most premium. the right product for the job.
We apply solid quality control to make sure what leaves our warehouse is consistent and usable. There will be natural variation in timber. that’s the nature of the material. But every bundle is checked, and anything that doesn’t meet a workable standard doesn’t go out.
Dan Hardy. Founder
Dan brings over 20 years in timber manufacturing and trade, combined with five years working in the civil space as both a surveyor and supplier. That background matters. it means CACP products are specified by someone who has actually used them on site, not just sourced them from a catalogue.
Dan knows timber. He knows that no two pieces are identical, that civil work doesn’t need perfection, and that what surveyors and contractors actually need is a reliable supply of a product that does what it’s supposed to do at a price that works at volume.
Based in Gippsland, Victoria, Dan runs the business with stock warehoused in Rocklea, Brisbane, servicing South East Queensland. A southern distribution point in Victoria is planned as CACP expands into the VIC and NSW markets.

Our product is a civil consumable, not a premium timber product. It’s a good hardwood stake that does what it’s supposed to do on site. We’re upfront about that. We apply solid QC, we stand behind what we sell, and we price it accordingly.

CACP was founded by someone who has worked in timber manufacturing and on civil projects. The product range, the specifications, and the way we operate are all shaped by real on-site experience. not just commercial instinct.
