Why CACP exists
A survey stake is a civil consumable. It goes in the ground, does its job, and gets left behind. Nobody needs furniture-grade timber for that — and nobody should be paying for it either.
CACP was built around a simple idea: supply a good, fit-for-purpose FSC certified hardwood stake at a price that makes sense for the volumes civil and survey work demands. Not the cheapest product on the market, not the most premium — the right product for the job.
Timber is a natural material, so no two pieces are identical. Every bundle that leaves our warehouse is checked, and anything that doesn’t meet a workable standard doesn’t go out.
Dan Hardy — Founder
Dan brings more than twenty years in timber manufacturing and trade, plus five years in the civil space as both a surveyor and a supplier. That background matters: CACP products are specified by someone who has actually used them on site, not just sourced them from a catalogue.
He knows timber — that no two pieces are identical, that civil work doesn’t need perfection, and that what surveyors and contractors actually need is reliable supply of a product that does its job at a price that works at volume.
Dan runs the business from Gippsland, Victoria, with stock warehoused at Rocklea, Brisbane servicing South East Queensland. A southern distribution point is planned as CACP grows into the VIC and NSW markets.
